This Fastback is outstanding with its Shelby Cobra accents and GT 350 Styling . Finished in Flame Red with Painted Black over the top Stripes and GT 350 Vinyl side stripes . It is as exciting to see as it to drive ! The rear deck has been fitted with an Eleanor trunk lid air dam and the front lower GT 350 valance has been installed and fitted to complete the GT 350 Styling and functional dynamics. The body panels are straight and the paint is smooth with a deep High gloss finish .
The interior has been renewed and the instrument cluster has been upgraded and shows well and functions great with great lighting and reliability . The console is original and the 4 speed Hurst shifter is period correct . This 65 retains it’s original steering wheel as well ! All the glass on this Fastback is original and is in good condition although there is a few scratches on rear window and a scuff line on the passenger door window from rubbing the door . New weather stripping and door sweeps have been installed .
The Engine is the ORIGINAL 289 that came with this car when new ! (See Photo). FRESH REBUILD .30 over . It runs terrific and strong ! New Crank Assembly and Lunati Hydraulic Cam and Lifters 284/488. An Edelbrock 4bbl intake and 4bbl carburetor have been installed as well as a pointless electronic ignition . 300 HP . High Performance Clutch . Exhaust headers are also installed that lead to Mac Freeflow Mufflers and Trumpet tailpipes ! Sounds Deep and Raspy ! New Wires and Plugs are installed . An extensive engine compartment detail has been completed as you can see with Cobra Valve covers and Air cleaner installed . The original style radiator remains .
